MAKE A DIFFERENCE

            Isn't that the liberals' favorite catchphrase for the era? Let's see, and by "making a difference," they are spending lots of time running around helping little groups here, and little groups there, which has no effect at all on the vast horde of humanity. Plus, there have been such "little needy groups" throughout all of humanity's time here on this Earth. And there always will be. So liberals work their little hearts out making NO real difference in the grand scheme of things.

            Most ironically, they particularly disparage those who strive to send us into space. "Gee, what good would going to space do???" Well, let's see, we would gradually spread human colonies across a good number of planets and moons in our own solar system, and then we'd eventually establish colonies in other solar systems. "So what?" Well, then whenever the inevitable next "dinosaur-killer"-sized asteroid ploughs into the Earth, WE WON'T ALL BE HERE!!! We won't have "put all our eggs in one basket." We won't go extinct, as a species. There will still be all of those colonies...who will continue to go on and spread into additional colonies, and so on. Congratulations! We will have just saved the lives of uncounted eon's-worth of humans.

            So, the best way that I know of to "make a difference" is to help our species to survive the ultimate destruction of all life on Earth. So that when Earth becomes another dead cinder in space where a world of hopes used to be, it won't have been all for nothing.
